Amy Steklof
Has served as Penfield Town Clerk since her appointment in April 2009. She was elected to a four-year term in November 2009 and to her second four-year term November 2013.
Amy is a lifelong Penfield resident and graduate of Penfield High School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Hartford. Amy has been married to her husband, Kevin, since 1984. They have three children (Michael, Jason and Jessica) and two miniature poodles (Lyla and Sadie).

Amy’s focus as Town Clerk has been to provide courteous, efficient, quality services to the community and its taxpayers through the most modern and cost effective methods available.
Accomplishments as Town Clerk include:
Updated Town Clerk software and Animal Control Office software to run both offices more efficiently
Implemented credit card payment options to the Town Clerk’s Office at no cost to the Town
Spearheaded the General Code Revitalization project for updating and codifying Town Local Laws and Ordinances
Put Waferfiche technology into practice for disaster planning, historic document preservation, and improving and economizing vault storage of records
Implemented on-line dog renewal licensing option for resident convenience (one of first municipalities in Monroe County to do so)
Consolidated Penfield election polling sights to save taxpayer dollars
Helped negotiate the purchase of a new low cost, multifunctional copier for the Town Hall, lowering ongoing costs with a new maintenance contract
Implemented pre-sort 1st class mail services saving taxpayer dollars by reducing postage costs
Annual free Rabies Vaccination Clinic for Penfield Residents
"Penfield Passport Night" for residents, three to four times a year
