
Penfield Town Councilwoman
Linda Kohl
First elected to the Town Board in 1991. She currently chairs the Community Services Committee and Open Space Update Committee. She is past chair and liaison to The Penfield Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, liaison to the Penfield Library Board, Local History Room Advisory Committee, the Friends of Dayton's Corners Schoolhouse, Health & Wellness Committee, co-liaison to the Penfield & Webster School District and liaison to the Penfield Symphony Orchestra. Linda chaired the Penfield Bicentennial Committee Steering Committee and has served as Deputy Town Supervisor. She was a member of the original Open Space Committee in 2001, and was selected to chair the Town Open Space Update Committee in 2005. Linda is a past chair of the Penfield Transportation Committee, Public Safety Committee and Law & Finance Committee. Linda serves on the Penfield Rotary Board of Directors and was President of the Penfield Rotary Club for the Rotary Calendar year of July, 2008-July, 2009. Linda is also a member of the Penfield Business Association and Penfield Heritage Association. She is a past director of the Penfield Symphony Orchestra and the Penfield Economic Development Corporation. Linda is a life-long Penfield resident and graduate of Penfield High School. Her education includes a Masters degree in Public Administration from SUNY-Albany and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from SUNY-Fredonia. She resides on Highledge Drive with her husband, Ken, and their two daughters Kristina and Rebecca.
