George Hebert
Monroe County Legislator George Hebert represents the 15th Legislative District which consists of portions of Webster and Penfield. George was elected in November 2015 and commenced his service in January 2016. Legislator Hebert currently serves on the Human Services Committee and as Vice Chairman of Ways and Means Committee within the County Legislature.
George is active in the local community and serves as President, Rochester District Youth Soccer League. He also serves as a mentor for First Robotics Team 2340. George served for 5 years as the Chairman of the St. Joseph School Parent Advisory Committee.​
George earned a BS in engineering (1978) and an MBA from the University of Rochester Simon Business School (1985). He also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Brockport (2014). Legislator Hebert is a retired US Naval Commander where he served in the submarine force as an enlisted sailor and in the surface fleet as a commissioned officer. George also retired from IBM after 27 years as a sales executive. He is married to the former Margaret Bretsch. They have two daughters, Hanna and Emily.
